Becoming an eCARE Super User

Here are the four steps you need to take in order to become an eCARE Super User.

Step 1 – Undergo your eCARE training appropriate to your role before any Super User training (e.g. Inpatient Nurse/ED Dr/Allied Health Professional/PAS Optimisation).

This is booked via Moodle.

Step 2 – Attend part of the same training again on a different day as a ‘teaching assistant’.

This is a refresher session for Super Users and other Trusts who use eCARE have found this particularly useful. You will observe colleagues learning, help to build their confidence, become more confident yourself with the functionality and note where new users may need advice and guidance. You do not have to attend the whole session, half the session is adequate – this is not compulsory but highly recommended and you MUST BOOK your place.

This is booked via the eCARE Super User email: eCARESuperUser@mkuh.nhs.uk using this booking form.

Step 3 – 1 hour Super User Sessions

This is your opportunity to have your eCARE questions answered and where you will learn

  • The Role of the Super User and what is expected of you
  • Support available in your role
  • How to be a super Super User
  • Technical competencies
  • Tips and hints
  • Updates on eCARE implementation
  • Experiencing change
  • Answers to any questions you have
  • Provide a FAQ factsheet
  • How to resolve smartcard and login issues

This is booked via the Trust Intranet on Moodle.
